User Services and Support
IT User Services is the customer support division of Michigan Tech IT. We provide walk-in, phone, and in-room support to make sure you can connect to the technologies you need as you complete your academic work. We support the desktops and laptops of every faculty and staff on campus, as well as all the kiosks and public workstations on campus.
The User Services staff understands that not being able to access these technologies can be frustrating and are deeply committed to quickly resolving any problems or questions should they arise.
How to get in touch with an agent
The Library and IT Service Desk, located at the J. Robert Van Pelt and John and Ruanne Opie Library, provides service for the over 200 new workstations throughout the library, as well as walk-up requests.
Hours of Operation Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm

Check on your IT request online
Service Desk Plus is Michigan Tech IT's new IT ticketing system which allows Tech faculty, staff, and students to report issues online and monitor the status of their submitted tickets.
Services we provide
We provide a specification to deployment service for desktop and laptops, which includes specification, purchasing, software build, through to final deployment at the user's desk.
Equipment Check Out
We have a variety of devices available to be checked out by the MTU community: laptops, projectors, etc.
We diagnose computer hardware problems and support various information kiosks throughout the campus.
Wired/Wireless Network Access
We diagnose computers having difficulty accessing our networked resources and campus wireless infrastructure.
