Campus Software Systems
Michigan Tech IT supports a rich set of software systems, ranging from the campus ERP system, Banner, to the Campus Common Core Software (over 300 desktop applications).
Our asset management system tracks our computing hardware and software assets. This helps us measure desktop and software usage throughout the campus.
Michigan Tech uses Canvas as its Learning Management System (LMS). Canvas provides instructors and students with a web-based home for each of their courses. Course content and materials, including syllabi, lecture notes or slides, files and links to external sources, and audio-video content can be made available to students in a secure environment. Canvas also allows instructors to easily communicate with their students, deliver assignments and quizzes online, allows for online submission of student assignments, conduct online discussions, and more. All Michigan Tech students, faculty, and staff can access Canvas with their standard university userid and password from the Canvas login page.
