The Residence Life Network, more commonly known as Resnet, provides students living in the Residence Halls and the Michigan Tech Apartments with high speed access to electronic resources both on campus and around the world. Resnet is covered in the room and board costs for all campus residents and is supported by IT User Services.

Rovernet is a service available to all Michigan Tech students, staff, faculty, and their guests at no charge. Providing and supporting Rovernet is a joint effort of many university departments. Rovernet is designed to allow you to take your laptop or PDA and rove around campus to gain access to network resources (such as the web and e-mail).

Google is now Michigan Tech's email provider. We offer support configuring, troubleshooting, etc., to a range of email clients. This system connects all faculty, staff and students, as well as alumni, prospective students, emeriti and adjunct faculty, etc. Gmail for education offers 25 GB of storage per user, powerful spam filtering, integrated voice/video conferencing, and a 99.9% uptime SLA. All hosted by Google – there's no cost, and no ads for students, faculty or staff. Gmail is securely powered by the web, so students and faculty can be productive at home, on the road, or on their mobile devices.

Canvas provides instructors and students with a web-based home for each of their courses. Course content and materials, including syllabi, lecture notes/slides, files and links to external sources, and audio-video content can be made available in a secure environment. Banweb is Michigan Tech's online information system for individuals affiliated with Michigan Tech. Students can log on to Banweb to check their grades, transcripts, apply for graduation, access their transcripts, register for classes, and more. Banweb also provides a number of self-help services for faculty, staff, and guests.
