MTU News Information

Due to budget constraints, Information Technology at Michigan Technological University will be ending support of the Usenet news service (NNTP). Alternative, free Usenet news services, such as Google Groups, provide easy and convenient searching and reading of public Usenet news groups. The mtu.* groups are not public and will be discontinued. Alternative methods of keeping these local mtu.* groups available are being explored.

The Usenet news service (NNTP) at MTU will end Monday November 1, 2004.
