IP Telephony
MTU is partnering with Mitel Corporation to test and deploy IP-based telephony products in a campus network. Through this testing, MTU is gaining practical experience with Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of voice applications over a data network. In the future, new applications will be developed to extend the capabilities of the telephone to enable it to talk to any IP device and become a real-time portal to network-based services.
