Michigan Technological University is a member the Internet2 Project, sponsored by the University Corporation for Advanced Internet Development. We have joined together with the other university, government, and industry partners to accelerate the next stage of Internet development in academia. This has enabled Michigan Tech to bring a focus, new energy, and resources to the development of advanced applications to meet emerging academic requirements in research, teaching and learning, and outreach. This includes developing and prototyping tools for data visualization, three-dimensional modeling, digital library, desktop videoconferencing, and other resource-intensive applications.
